I lost you Ian , love of my life, my soulmate, my best friend, lover, protector, caretaker and father to our four furry babies 2 years today
We spent the last 13 years together 24 hours a day and still laughed and carried on as if we had just started dating!! I am completely lost without you , but knowing I will be reunited with you when God calls me home to be with you for eternity gives me some solace. My heart aches for you  every day, and I am so tired of hearing it gets better with time! Who came up with that saying? I wonder if they lost their soulmate! Nothing will make it better. 
Time speeds on, two years have passed
Since death its gloom, its shadow, cast
Within our home, where all seemed bright,
And took from us a shining light,
